  • I was traveling alone and the place was ideal. The location is very beautiful. Sometimes I wanted to relax after surfing lessons, and the house itself was very pleasant. The location is also ideal. Ulrike responded quickly to my requests and was very friendly.

  • Enjoyed our 4 week stay. Ricki was very accommodating and flexible with check in time. Place felt like we were surrounded by jungle when we were in the outdoor kitchen living area. Mostly quiet for Mexico. Dogs, roosters and loud music is hard to get away from in Mexico. Had all things we needed to cook our own meals which we did a lot. Quick walk to downtown area and beach. Maxie the dog was a hi lite for us. He would come visit often and was always excited to see us. Ricki had to check our luggage upon leaving as we mentioned we might take him home 😀

  • Our stay at Riki’s was a 10/10 experience! If you are an interior design aficionado like myself, you will appreciate Riki’s attention to detail. Her place is beautifully designed, well laid out, the king bed is firm yet comfortable, & the A/C unit and the fan above the bed made for a very pleasant experience. The outdoor living room & kitchen nestled amongst the tropical plants was such a relaxing place to spend time. The house is on a hillside, so we enjoyed pleasant breezes, even during the hotter parts of the day. The location is perfect – walking distance to the restaurants, shops & beach, yet far enough away that it was quiet & peaceful. Of course you will hear roosters & dogs barking occasionally, and some noise from cars driving down the main road one block away, but all in all a very pleasant experience. Last but not least, Riki was an exceptional host. She was warm, welcoming, & generous with her time. She even offered a remedy for my husband’s upset stomach which helped alot!

  • Riki and her dog are incredibly nice. Riki is a great host who has made a space that has everything a guest needs. This spot is perfect, it’s close to town but quiet. the view out of the French doors is amazing.

  • I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay in Sayulita. Ulrike’s casa, and the garden that surrounds it is lush and beautiful. I felt very safe and secure there. I loved the walk through the neighborhood to town and the beach, so convenient and no need for a car or golf cart. Ulrike’s place was comfortable and provided everything I needed. She was quick to respond to my questions. Highly recommend!

  • I spent a week solo at Ulrike’s rental suite and it was perfect and everything I wanted! She is very friendly and the place was put together with love and care. I loved making coffee in the morning and drinking it on the gorgeous rooftop patio and then doing yoga up there after while listening to the birds chirping. 10/10! It was quiet enough to do my writing in the morning and daytime when needed so that was great! It’s less than ten mins walk to all the action but tucked away enough to be quiet. Her dog Khanda is an angel and often came to say hello. I feel totally recharged from my week there and I’m grateful for my stay and hope to come back 🙂

  • We loved our stay here!! The space was perfect for everything we needed – I loved how the doors can just fully open up. I loved the garden leading up to and surrounding our place – made everything that much more gorgeous. View from the bed (especially during sunrise) was probably my favorite thing. Rooftop was perfect for stargazing. Loved that the kitchen/living room space was outdoors. What else can I say?… Oh yes location was perfect. A little further out from the center so you’re not in the midst of the crazy noise (a must if you want to sleep!!) – you can still hear some noises some nights — it’s Sayulita – but mainly animals (roosters and whatnot). Earplugs are helpful for any nights an event may be going on (I think that’s true of anywhere in Sayu). Yet still so close to everything – less than 10 mins to the main area, 12 ish to the beach. Ulrike was such a great host. And her recommendations were always spot on!!

The place is tucked away in the side of Gringo Hill feeling very safe and private, but just a short walk to the plaza. She was so kind, I’d definitely recommend this place to others, and be back myself if visiting again!

  • I had a fantastic time at Ulrike’s place and can’t recommended it enough. My only hesitation in doing so is that it will be booked the next time that I want to come back! I found everything in all the other reviews to be accurate, right down to the sweet dog. This was a great place for me to live and work (on video calls) for almost a month and I can’t wait to come back!

  • Ulrike’s place is great. The price point hits the sweet spot for a bit of a longer stay that doesn’t break the bank, but isn’t so cheap that the quality is sacrificed. It’s a good location that there isn’t lots of town noise, but a quick walk down from the unit to town. My daily walks to the beach took less than 10 minutes wandering past food stalls, and on Sundays the big public market. The unit is clean, has fast and reliable internet, is modern, and well appointed. It has a king sized bed, air conditioning, a small working desk, a kitchen table, a medium sized fridge, outdoor kitchen with a coffee maker, two burner hot plate, a toaster oven, and a Burkey counter top water filtration system which is fantastic for saving plastic. All the cooking essentials you need are there including a good set of pots and pans, utensils, containers for leftovers, and most important (to me): sharp knives. She has a very sweet dog as well who was a treat to have on the property. I had my own dog with me and they got along famously. As a host, Ulrike was responsive and helpful. Even when I annoyed myself and locked my keys in my unit by accident. Ulrike leaves you alone, but is very helpful when you need it. I’d go back in an instant.

  • This place is in the ideal location! Beautiful views of the jungle and late evening thunderstorms. Just a short walk into downtown but far enough that you don’t hear downtown. We enjoyed the deck space and rooftop. Can not recommend enough!

  • Ulrike is an absolutely wonderful host and so is her co host pup, Miss Khanda! The place is beautifully decorated and I had everything I needed for the stay. I stayed for a month and worked remotely – great wifi and desk set up. I utilized the rooftop for workouts and loved spending time on the amazing patio/deck just outside the door. It’s a short walk to town and peaceful to get a bit away from the hustle and bustle. I didn’t have a car or golf cart the whole time and it was super easy to walk everywhere. Thanks so much for the amazing stay.

  • If I could give it 6 stars I would. The space is beautiful and very clean. As well as the lands feeling like you are in an oasis. Still far away enough that noise is not an issue and close enough to just hop into town.

  • Absolutely perfect. I spent a magical week at Ulrike’s by myself and wish I could have stayed a month. The apartment is perfect for working, resting, and spending time in your garden living room. The walk is easy from town, just far enough from the bustle. It feels incredibly good to be there — safe, bright, and lovely. I can’t wait to come back.

  • We loved staying at Ulrike’s place! It is the perfect balance of form and function. The place is beautiful and tropical but also comfortable and full of amenities. I appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was as far as anything you might need to cook. The bed is comfy. The quality of the space is well done.

    For anyone that may have knee issues or is elderly, just note that this Airbnb has stairs.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for 11 nights we couldn’t be happier with the location, 8min walk in to town and far enough from the noise. Ulrike’s place was very peaceful and also has a sweet rooftop patio. Ulrike was an amazing host. We both got sick our 2nd night here and she took it upon herself to go into town to get Gatorade for us and also bring us another remedy from home (which both were a saving grace considering our condition). She has an awesome friendly dog named Khanda that we will miss seeing every morning. We couldn’t be happier with everything, and will definitely come back one day!

  • This was the perfect stay for our time in Sayulita! It is close to the downtown area, yet quiet and peaceful. The shared rooftop space is great for sunrise, and we loved having a private little outdoor kitchen/living area. Ulrike was responsive and welcoming!

  • Ulrike was a great host. She communicated regularly, and had great local recommendations – exchanging money, cab, etc. She was super helpful and very responsive. I cut my foot on the beach, and messaged her, and left me first aid supplies asap. I also needed additional towels, and she left them immediately. The space is lovely and private. It is in the jungle part of Sayu and a 10 minute walk into town, which helps with how loud Sayu can be sometimes. The walk is an easy walk and safe. Thanks Ulrike.

  • Between the peaceful nights and beautiful garden, Ulrike’s place was like an oasis for me. This was a wonderful place to rest, watch the hummingbirds, and enjoy the view. I had everything I needed for a longer stay and was able to cook meals in the kitchen when I wanted to. The walk is fairly easy and just far enough from the hustle of downtown Sayulita.

  • The best part was the outside sitting area where the kitchen is located. It was so pleasant. She has a rooftop sitting area but I preferred to sit in the outside sitting area in the middle of a beautiful garden.

  • The place was nice. Located near everything in Sayulita. About 10 mins walk to downtown. I enjoyed very much being hosted by Urlike. I had a pleasant experience with her – she is very accommodating, responsive and welcoming. I felt like home away from home. if you are traveling solo I think it’s a perfect spot. You are alone yet the host is on the site and a Neighboor lives above you too. So you kinda sharing the property. if you are looking for a complete privacy – I don’t think this is the place. But I personally enjoyed talking and interacting with them. Bed is very comfy and big. The sheets are lovely! It’s a nicely done place. However do expect to cook outside – it can get really hot if you are a cook. During the “humid season” July through September it’s very hot in Mexico so I kinda had a hard time staying outside and cook in the kitchen. But I got used to it eventually. My favorite highlight to a place is that it had a beautiful roof top with gorgeous view. I enjoyed doing yoga and exercise there. It was definitely an unexpected treat to my stay. And of course I loved the host who went above and beyond if I ever asked for any help or when I had any difficulty at the place. Thank you Urlike.

  • Absolutely loved this studio. The location was perfect, away from the main bustle of town but very close to walk. The views were stunning and the outdoor living room was my favorite park. Ulrike was incredibly kind and warm. Wi-Fi was super strong the whole time I was there working on video calls. Highly recommend.

  • We spent a great week at Ulrike’s place. It’s comfortable and nicely decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped, including filtered water. We were also able to use the washing machine, which was a big plus! We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area and the roof terrace, too. The apartment is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Sayulita and beach, but is in a quieter area with beautiful views of the mountains. Ulrike was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed and let us check in early. Defintiely recommended – we hope to go back one day!

  • Five stars all the way. The beautiful jungle view and cozy exterior area are perfect for couples or those traveling solo. The 7 min walk to the beach might be heavy for some, but have in mind that on your return at night, you’ll find one of the best street taco joints in town just a couple of blocks away!

  • My husband and I (plus our doggo) had a lovely stay here! Ulrike’s home is absolutely beautiful—immersed in a garden of all kinds of greenery, trees, flowers, birds and butterflies! The bedroom has the most beautiful sunrise glow shine through in the morning🌞 We loved the outdoor kitchen setup and access to the rooftop was a real treat! The location is pretty perfect being just a short walk to town, but removed enough to enjoy some peace & quite.

  • I fell in love with Ulrike’s place when I wasn’t looking to move, but after seeing it, I knew I had to live there. It is such a beautiful space, every detail is amazing. The view is incredible and it’s such a peaceful area. After about 9 months I had to move due to a change in work, or else I would have stayed forever. It was such a pleasure having Ulrike as a landlady as well.

  • Ulrike’s home is unlike any other place I’ve stayed in Sayulita, and I’ve stayed many different places. Her apartments are absolutely stunning – beautifully designed and furnished, with amazing light during all parts of the day. The upper apartment has incredible views of the town, and the surrounding jungle. The bottom apartment has access to the beautiful gardens, with many kinds of luscious tropical plants. Ulrike makes you feel right at home, is very generous with her space, and was quickly responsive to every need we had during our stay. After 8+ months of living with her, she became a dear friend and her home because our home away from home.
